Role & Responsibilities: As a barista, your primary responsibilities include:
● Interest in redefining what the cafe experience can be.
● Helping out with initial Menu designing, experimenting with a variety of coffee drinks.
● Designing a daily opening & closing checklist with productive Bar Flow / Work Triangle – The ergonomic arrangement of espresso machines, grinders, milk fridge or similar stations to minimize barista steps and achieve sales output.
● Prepare and serve coffee, tea, or other beverages that adhere to quality standards and maintain cleanliness of service and seating areas.
● Monitoring the smooth work flow between the Back-of-House: dish, prep, storage, kitchen and Front-of-House: queue, service bar, seating.
● Providing excellent customer service by explaining the origin, taste of the beans, and communicating the roasting methods clearly to customers.
● Operating coffee brewing equipment like grinders, scales, timers, water towers, point of sale systems, and mobile payment systems.
● Keeping equipment in “museum quality” condition, clean and maintained.
● Promptly addressing customer service issues or guest needs and referring to management if and when necessary.
● Maintaining daily logs of inventories in the brew section and communicating clearly with management at all times for the restock.
● Creating authentic content showing the people behind the bar. Have a bit of fun engaging with customers!
